New airport store, Casa do Viajante offers rental of items such as baby stroller, beach chair and even barbecue
In line with the concept of shared economy, the startup Traveler's House opened its first store in Santa Catarina, on Boulevard 14/32 at Florianópolis International Airport. The company operates in the leasing of items that make the tourist's life easier, such as a baby stroller, bicycle, guitar, flat iron, espresso machine, beach chair. boards and wheelchair, beach umbrella
In the new space, with 25 square meters, tourists also find utilities such as barbecue, toys, mattress, umbrella and iron. Items can be booked in advance through the company's website.
The solution came from demand. One of the startup's creators, Diogo Horn, who also owns a travel agency, says that many tourists asked where to find baby strollers and bicycles for rent in Gramado, the city where the company was born. As this service was rare in the city, he saw an opportunity. So he and his partner, Lucas Castilhos, created Casa do Viajante, which today has more than 70 items for rent and which has already served more than 10 tourists from all over Brazil.
"We decided to think about everything that is bulky for the tourist to put in the suitcase and thus provide a more practical, economical and sustainable travel experience when visiting a tourist city", comments Horn. "We've also noticed that vacation rentals have been growing a lot, but owners often lack a number of items, especially for babies and young children, that we seek to solve based on what tourists most demand."
The new Casa do Viajante in Florianópolis is open from Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 7 am to 21 pm and on Saturdays from 7 am to 20 pm. More information by number (48) 98819-7666.
