This Tuesday morning, the Ministry of Infrastructure delivered the Aeroportos + Brasil 2020 Award, considered the Oscar of national aviation. Florianópolis Hercílio Luz International Airport, managed by Floripa Airport, won the trophy in two categories: "Airport that evolved the most in 2019" and "Airport with the most passenger services".

The award is based on the results of the General Passenger Satisfaction Survey, carried out monthly at the 20 main airports in the country.

The airport in the capital of Santa Catarina grew 13,6% over the last year, reaching a score of 4,78, on a scale that goes up to 5, in the last quarter of 2019.

Among the airports that process up to 5 million passengers a year, Florianópolis also won, along with Maceió, in the “more passenger services” category.

In his speech, Minister Tarcísio de Freitas highlighted Florianópolis airport:

“Florianópolis airport, with a short opening time, has already received awards. In other words, the citizen has already noticed the improvement. For the coming years, Florianópolis is a strong competitor for all categories. It’s just a provocation, in this healthy competitive environment,” he commented.

The Passenger Satisfaction Survey, which served as the basis for the award, surveyed 94.549 users in 2019. The set of 20 airports evaluated reached an average overall satisfaction of 4,43 in 2019, compared to 4,35 in 2018, an increase of 1,8% of the grade.
