A Floripa Airport informs that Florianópolis International Airport operates regularly and follows all protocols guided by the Ministry of Health/Anvisa to contain the virus. The concessionaire also took additional measures to avoid the concentration of people at the Airport.  

About flights

The concessionaire registered this Tuesday, the 17th, the cancellation of 4 Azul flights: two to Porto Alegre and two to Viracopos. 4 more cancellations are confirmed for tomorrow (18th) from Latam, with destinations to Congonhas and Guarulhos. Scheduled cancellations represent 4% of the total daily flights from Florianópolis International Airport.

To reduce concentration of people at the airport

• The panoramic terrace will be closed indefinitely from this Wednesday (18/03). 
• Employees in the administrative area will work from home, as of this Wednesday (18/03).
• All events on Boulevard 14/32 are postponed indefinitely.

Airport communication and sanitation

• Audio and visual announcements about the coronavirus, in several languages, aired at the Airport.
• Availability of gel alcohol in the boarding and disembarkation areas, where there is a large circulation of passengers (near toilets, drinking fountains, inspection channel, among others).
• Reinforcement of cleaning frequency and mandatory use of PPE (apron, mask, glasses and gloves) for the entire airport sanitation team.
• Recommendation and availability by the airport of gloves for professionals who handle luggage carts.
• Guidance on the use of a mask for professionals in stores in the international area.

About airport closure

The concessionaire's function is the efficient and safe airport operation of this important infrastructure for the population. It is important to point out that this is an essential service through which they are transported, for example, imported organs and drugs arrive in the country by planes from abroad, in addition to hospital equipment, etc.

A Floripa Airport does not legislate on the closure of airport infrastructure, which belongs to the Union, with whom it has a concession contract. Therefore, the provision of airport services and air operations continue on a regular basis at Florianópolis International Airport. 

About passenger screening by healthcare professionals

This is a measure defined and implemented by the health authorities. If it is the understanding of these authorities to implement actions in this regard, the Floripa Airport will provide whatever is necessary for the correct implementation of these procedures.
