Sanitary control form for passengers bound for Florianópolis is now digital

In yet another pioneering action, the Floripa Airport and the city of Florianópolis implement a new measure to ensure the safety of travelers and citizens. Now, all passengers who disembark in Florianópolis can fill out the sanitary control form to enter the city online. The initiative of Floripa Airport is part of a package of actions that the Swiss concessionaire is implementing, together with airlines, to make the passenger experience in Florianópolis increasingly modern, safe and aligned with post-pandemic demands: with digital and contactless processes. .

The form is the same as the Municipal Health Surveillance, which is already filled out by passengers, in paper format, when they disembark in Florianópolis since March, following a decree from the Florianópolis City Hall to control the coronavirus. However, with the gradual increase in the number of flights, it was also necessary to create an online option.

“Our Passenger Experience team detected that, with the gradual increase in the number of flights, the analog filling would become unfeasible and could generate queues and agglomerations at disembarkation. So, we alerted the city hall about the need to create the digital alternative and, together, we brought the solution”, comments Ricardo Gesse, General Director of Floripa Airports.

The questionnaire is simple, quick to fill out and has basic questions, such as the city and country of origin of the trip and if the person has any symptoms for covid-19. At the end, the passenger signs a term. Upon completion, a QR Code is generated, which must be presented at the sanitary barrier upon arrival at Florianópolis International Airport. The process is valid only for passengers disembarking in Florianópolis.

“This is yet another measure that meets the future of post-covid aviation: the need for digital processes that avoid passenger contact. Florianópolis, once again, is at the forefront of becoming a touchless airport and a safe destination for travelers” observes Gesse.

A Floripa Airport has intensified contact with airlines so that they make the form link available to passengers at check-in. The online form went into effect last Saturday and the next two weeks will be for implementation, communication and testing. For now, passengers who are unable to fill in online will have the analogue option upon disembarkation.
