The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), one of the most important international travel and tourism organizations, has recognized the city of Florianópolis and the International Airport of Florianópolis as a destination and safe places, due to all the combat and control actions del coronavirus, carried out by its administrators. Since the first fortnight of March this year, with the ready adoption of the quarantine to contain the advance of the pandemic, Florianópolis appeared on the national scene as a reference in the management and control of the Coronavirus crisis. The rate of lethality for the disease is one of the most low areas, in comparison with other capitals and states of Brazil.

It has been a daily and constant challenge, but without a doubt, we have come to terms with this crisis even further", comments the mayor of Florianópolis, Gean Loureiro.

The QR Code platform is also a success in the detection of possible contamination by the disease. More than 5.3 thousand establishments have joined this service, which has about 1.5 million records. Soon another tool will be used in the municipality. This is the Laura artificial intelligence system, which will contact patients via WhatsApp messages with simple questions to track the health status of suspected and confirmed cases of Covid-19. The initiative is the result of an association between PMF and Unimed.

"In the midst of this difficult time that we are facing, receiving the security seal gives us even more impetus to resume economic activities related to tourism in our city. Floripa for the association with the public power since the beginning of the measures to combat the pandemic", adds Juliano Richter Pires, Secretary of Tourism, Tecnología y Desarrollo Económico of Florianópolis.

From the arrival to the airport until the departure

In the Florianópolis International Airport, the entire route of the pass, from the moment you arrive at the airport until the landing, was mapped and received specific actions to control the coronavirus.

El viernes pasado, the airport of Floripa, in association with Intelbras, implemented another novelty. Artificial intelligence thermal solutions were installed in the landing zone of passengers, which identifies people with high temperatures. In addition to temperature measurement, the equipment has facial recognition technology, which identifies the correct use of masks.

The new system measures the temperature of up to 15 people simultaneously. If you identify with a walk with high temperature, if you approach the professionals of the municipal Sanitary Surveillance, present in the airport, and if you will refer to the evaluation of the symptoms.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, the airport has been a pioneer in some actions, such as the implantation of a single line and the orientation of the boarding groups by screens, eliminating the formation of 3 lines and, consequently, the possibility of agglomeration; the sanitary barrier in the disembarque in collaboration with the council; and the installation of acrylic protections on the service displays with a magnifying glass for document reading, without the need for manipulation.

"We have always maintained high health standards. Now we have intensified them, observing more of the required protocols. The recognition of the WTTC crowns our actions and demonstrates the passengers that traveling is safe", says Ricardo Gesse, director general of the airport of Florianópolis.

Other actions at the airport

• The parking garages issue the ticket from the vehicle's proximity sensor, without the driver having to press the button.

• At the entrance to Boulevard 14/32, the equipment cars are sanitized and arranged in a separate line.

• The airport installations have an open architectural design, which ensures greater ventilation. There is also a strict control over the number of people and the use of alcohol in gel at the entrance.

• The trays, during X-ray inspection, are cleaned immediately after use.

• Stickers to mark positions are everywhere to form lines, elevators, seats and mechanical stairs, keeping individual and family groups at a minimum distance.

• At check-in, Latam has installed a remote service system, from where the passenger has the assistant through cameras.

• Azul has installed a dispatch display for independent equipment, I have it for the passenger himself, which has already been billed by mobile phone.

• The airport Floripa disinfectant pads have been placed, also with hospital products, for the automatic disinfection of shoes.

• At each landing, the plane is disinfected before new passengers fly.

• All airlines that operate in Florianópolis use HEPA filters inside the aircraft that guarantee 99.9% elimination of viruses and bacteria and renew the air every 3 minutes.
