Florianópolis Airport now has a Tourist Protection Police Station

In this month of October, Florianópolis International Airport started to house the 11th Police Station of the Capital - Tourist Protection Station (DPTUR). The measure was made official in a decree by Governor Carlos Moses published on 08/10/2020.

The Tourist Protection Office (DPTUR) has an operational and public service role, with a guiding, regulatory and supplementary function throughout the State in relation to tourist protection. To the Floripa Airport, the presence of the Police Station at the airport adds even more value to the tourist services already offered at Florianópolis airport and follows the trend of other tourist destinations around the world, which have DPTUR at the airport.

 

In practice, points such as service and staff remain normal and unchanged.

The Police Station also has the mission of maintaining relationships with bodies related to the activities carried out at the airport terminal, such as the Federal Police, Federal Revenue, National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), International Agricultural Surveillance (VIGIAGRO). ) and airport administration.

The unit is also responsible for interacting with bodies related to tourism, such as the Brazilian Tourism Institute (EMBRATUR) and the Santa Catarina Tourism Development Agency (SANTUR), developing relationships with authorities and diplomatic and consular representations of foreign states, in addition to assist tourists who need services related to PCSC activities, guiding and referring, when necessary, to other competent bodies.
