Since September 2020, the management of airports 100% operated by the Zurich Airport group in Brazil has been unified. As part of this integration process and aiming at a unique identity for its growth and longevity in Brazil, the Group adopts, as of today, the name Zurich Airport Brasil for the company that currently manages the airports of Florianópolis, Macaé and Vitória. .

The new name brings the greatness of the parent company, recognized worldwide, and reinforces the expertise of Swiss investors in operating airports with high quality, comfort, safety and efficiency. Zurich Airport Brasil has in its DNA a differentiated vision of airport infrastructure, based on the concept of being more than airports, also positioning itself as places for shopping, sightseeing, leisure and with high potential for sustainable real estate development. All administration and projects, however, maintain as a premise the appreciation of the specificities and culture of the places where the airports are located.

The executive board remains with the same structure. Ricardo Gesse is the CEO of Zurich Airport Brasil, responsible for the 3 airports. Tobias Markert is the CEO of Zurich Airport Latin America, in charge of operations in Latin America.

“The new company accelerates development between the airports, prioritizing the exchange of successful experiences, while at the same time solidifying an integrated corporate culture and shared governance. But our mission remains the same: operating airports at a level of excellence, promoting economic and tourist development and, always, delighting our passengers and visitors” adds Ricardo Gesse.

Florianópolis airport, managed by the Group since January 2018, is considered the best in Brazil today, according to the Passenger Satisfaction Survey carried out by the Federal Government with the 20 largest in the country. In Vitória and Macaé, the concession started in January 2020. All concessions have a duration of 30 years.
