A Floripa Airport informs that the essential air network for the month of May at Florianópolis International Airport had an increase in flights from the second half of the month, presenting a growth of 46%, when compared to the movement carried out in April. capital of Santa Catarina has planned to operate 245 flights, between arrivals and departures.

The movement remains low, 89% lower than the average for the period, which is 80 daily flights. The three airlines - Azul, Gol and Latam - continue to operate at Florianópolis International Airport. The novelty is that the month of May foresees the resumption of two destinations. The airline Gol, as of May 24, returns with direct flights to Rio de Janeiro, through RIOgaleão airport. In principle, there will be 3 flights per week. Azul resumes the Florianópolis - Chapecó route, as of May 11, with 3 weekly flights. As in the previous month, the Florianópolis airport continues with flights to the airports of Guarulhos and Viracopos, in São Paulo.

The busiest days become Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with 10 to 14 flights between arrivals and departures. With a greater offer of seats and destinations, the second half of May rises from 6 to 9 daily flights on average.

The objective of the essential air network is to ensure that no Brazilian state is left without an air connection during the coronavirus pandemic. THE Floripa Airport reinforces that the essential air network can always change during this period. The concessionaire informs that passengers with flights scheduled for this period should seek, by phone or digital channels, the respective airline to adapt to the essential network.
