This Monday, the Floripa Airport, concessionaire of Florianópolis International Airport, and the Chilean airline SKY officially launch the return of the Santiago - Florianópolis route for the next summer season, with flights from December 3 to March 7.

The route will start with two weekly flights, on Thursdays and Sundays, and from January onwards it will receive an additional frequency on Tuesdays. Tickets are available for sale from this Monday (17) and with promotional values for the first week of launch: from US$ 55 + departure tax per segment. The airline offers even more a special launch condition: those who buy the ticket until August 31 can change the date without costs or penalties, as long as the complete trip takes place within the season period (between 03/12/2020 and 7 /03/2021).

"One of the novelties that we will have from today until this Sunday, August 23, are the special offers and promotions, which can be found through the SKY app", said SKY sales manager Jaime Fernandez.

In addition, Fernandez highlights SKY's commitment to the safety of passengers and their crews, noting that the company is not only concerned with offering tickets accessible to everyone, but also with reinforcing all health protocols on board so that people can travel with tranquility. At Florianópolis International Airport, all sanitary protocols are strictly followed, in addition to extra measures to prevent coronavirus.

“The announcement of the flight demonstrates the interest of Chileans in the destination of Santa Catarina, which we have already seen in the last 2 seasons. THE Floripa Airport did its part by ensuring the return of the flight, with all health care. Now, it is essential that the Tourism sector is prepared to receive international tourists safely. We brought the flight, its success also depends on the support of the tourist trade”, comments Ricardo Gesse, general director of Floripa Airports.

In total, SKY plans to carry out 74 operations (between takeoffs and landings) in the period, which represents 41% of the airline's flight offer at Florianópolis airport in the last season.
