As of June 16, Florianópolis International Airport will have a direct flight to Curitiba, Paraná. The regional airline Aerosul will fly the route 5 times a week.

In addition to Curitiba, the flight will also connect to Londrina, another important city in the North of Paraná, with a large flow of visitors to Florianópolis and the region. The aircraft model is the C208 Grand Caravan, with an arrangement of 9 seats. For the beginning of the route, tickets are priced from R$ 299 each way.

See opening hours (Monday to Friday):

  • Departure from Florianópolis: 14:20 - Arrival in Curitiba: 15:30
  • Departure from Curitiba: 09:00 - Arrival in Florianópolis: 10:10

Until the year 2000, the frequency reached 4 daily flights, operated by up to 4 airlines. demand studies of Floripa Airport demonstrate that trips between the two capitals are highly frequent: Florianópolis – Curitiba is the 2nd largest road route between capitals in the country. Daily, about 2 thousand people travel between the 2 cities by road.

“For an airport, it is always important to expand the destinations it operates and offer passengers more options. This is a strategic frequency to expand the connectivity of Florianópolis and Santa Catarina with the main markets in the south of the country. This route, in particular, is also an excellent service for the business market”, comments Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Florianópolis Airport.

Aerosul

Based in Paraná, Aerosul appeared in the market as an air taxi company. In 2020, it received certification from Anac to operate scheduled regional flights, positioning itself with a regional airline in the Southern Region of Brazil.

“We are very satisfied with the support that Zurich Airport Brasil has given us since the beginning of the project. The connection between the capitals is an important part of Aerosul's network plan and we intend to reach 4 daily flights. We are also studying for this year to incorporate larger aircraft of 19-36 seats to offer direct connections from Florianópolis to other destinations, such as Assunção and Foz do Iguaçu. The Santa Catarina Market is ready for the growth of regional aviation. “ said Adilson Oliveira, CEO of Aerosul.

With the new route, Florianópolis Airport is now connected to 8 destinations: Guarulhos, Congonhas and Viracopos, in São Paulo; Galeão Airport, in Rio de Janeiro; Brasília, Chapecó, Porto Alegre and Curitiba.
